Some of the tricky jump/climb moves, to reach some goodie, reminds me even of Painkiller!
Also there's cheating. Not by me, by the developers. Like accelerating in mid-air! It's funny though. I mean the wallrun-> Q for turn -> Space again to accelerate in mid air. It's weird. I found that out intuitively, because in reality there would be no way to reach the top of the large room with stairs and platforms by climbing: too large distances, but here it was clearly the only way so i just tried. Very suprised that it worked. That part, the exaggerated way way too long jumping, reminds me of classic Tomb Raider.
There is a lot to enjoy in this game.
Next to what's to complain about, like the horrible horrible characters, the hooded idiots with their rediculous facepaint, their face masks, their skin-graffiti and their juvenile-criminal way of behaving and talking because they're the "Underground People"! The very annoying voices paired to the speed-challenges every time you try ("you ruined everything!!!"). These elements make me spit furiously on the game.
The time-challenges make this game, in the wide detailed cityscape full of surprising little spots and spaces.
However, the diversions are less fun again: very tight on the second, so very often you don't make it and then you get the complaining in your ears (i play with headphones), very unpleasant, the same as with the deliveries. The pressure to make it, the complaining when you fail, the disgust in their voices, that style is really bad game design. Much displeasure with most of the voices in the game. Shame, the music is good, but when the annoying voices hit me i take off my headphones and play in silence.
Oh and that Mirror's Edge Catalyst does not support Radeon crossfire is very disappointing.
